As a parent of a special needs child, we definitely relate to the priority of special needs planning to provide for the unique needs of individuals with disabilities through Special Needs Trusts to allow them to live as independently as possible, free from abuse and neglect.

Estate planning for people with young families.

Estate planning has never been an obligation strictly for the elderly. We also urge young families with small children not to delay their estate planning to ensure their children are protected. If the worst happens to parents, it is of vital importance that trusted temporary and permanent guardians have been established for the children.

Our practice heartily approves of the Kids Protection Plan. The Kids Protection Plan provides for temporary guardians so dependent children will be provided for if tragedy strikes and never placed in the foster care system.

As career and lifestyle changes make themselves felt, estate plans need to be updated and reviewed on a regular basis for safety's sake. We believe that estate documents should be reviewed every three years at a minimum. Our clients will have the chance to review their documents every three years to keep up with the changes that happen in everyone’s lives. We strive to keep in constant communication with our clients. For clients that want further review, we advise them to join our Inner Circle Program, which provides for more regular meetings.
